WHO ARE WE?
Living Off Grid Guide is fueled by my wife, Rachel, and myself, Stephen Shade. We live in rural Arizona with our four generation family. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We live on a 3.5 acre lot just outside of the city limits. We have two large gardens, a small orchard, our own well, wood stove central heating and are currently saving up for a solar power system.
We are actively pursuing an off grid lifestyle. We want to feed our family more natural food and save money doing it, so we can continue to afford to keep Rachel at home with the kids. I am currently working for my dad as a commercial insurance agent, so money is pretty tight. As we experiment and learn, we will share with you our experiences and tell you what works and what doesn’t work. We will also give you tutorials on off grid living.
